September, I Remember
Its weird how September has been milestonical for the past few years.
September was the mth i started my internship in USGI.
September was the mth i started a very different phase of my stay in SV.
September this year, was a 26day break in Europe. The break represented, to me, an official end as a student (though i've started working) and an official start to my decision to take up an entrepreneurial path as a fulltime career.
The 26day Euro Trip was divided into 3 phases:
Phase I: Overnight stay in Coloumbo Sri Lanka, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin (9days)
Phase II: London and more London (7days)
Phase III: Ljubljana Slovenia and Zagreb Croatia (7days)
Before my thoughts of the trip fades away, here is a summary of my top 10 moments of this trip:
1) Booking the wrong flight to Berlin and having to make a decision within 30min if we wanna pay a heavy penalty to get on the flight, early in the wee hours at 615am after a 4hr highly uncomfortable overnight sleep in the airport, knowing Hope Berlin people are expecting us within the next few hrs after we've troubled a lot of pple to put us in touch with them.
Kit, although you've been a slack travelmate, I must say you've been a great one nonetheless, especially during these moments.
2) Chatting with Kar Teck on the London bacony all the way till 3am. Giving my analysis of a situation tt KT posted to me which made him felt stupid (first time in his life, so he claims) and not being able to tell me the capital of Luxemburg when he needed to feel good. (KT prides himself to be able to name the capital city of any country you post him, minus countries fr African continent)
I must say I'll miss you too, Kar Teck. (Im not gay)
3) Waking up in the morning to see wonderful breakfast prepared by the Berlin brothers for me and Kit. Was very loved. Thanks Hope Berliners!
4) Walking the Ljubljana streets on a Saturday night, wondering why its so deserted, only to find that everyone's hidden in underground "caves". (alot of their shops and bars are underground, packed with people) Apparently, Karteck and I have a hypothesis that Slovenians' ancestorial roots might be traced to the rat kingdom.
5) Sitting by the road side in Zagrab, drinking till 4am, and knowing one another better from "I Never"
6) Eating the mashed up waffle soaked with dew as lunch with Kit, after shopping in Louis Vutton, Paris. Feeling sorry and promising ourselves that the next time we visit Europe, we'll do it "fong1 fong1 kuang1 kuang1" style.
7) Having my morning quiet time at the same London bacony, refreshed by the morning sun.
8) Road trip on the 3rd day of Ljubljana. Speeding down the highway and enjoying the scenery while we travel to Postojna cave and lake Bled.
9) Seeing Eiffel Tower lighting up beautifully at night.
10) Seeing the Hope London group. Seeing a ministry being a home away from home for foreigners working in the comospolitan city.
11) Staying in highly rated Flying Pig hostel in Amsterdam.
12) Picnic in Paris with locals. Opening the can of smelly fish. Boy, it was really smelly. Talk about durians.
... ok, i know i exceeded 10. sorry.
